The beginning of the month was pretty quiet. Then on the 21st Emily turned 4 years old. She has become a very self confident, bubbly, happy little girl. She had a party at the house and enjoyed herself so much more this year, than last. She is learning to ride the bicycle she got for her birthday and plays almost daily at the desk she bought with all her birthday money. She has so many people that love her in her life and she knows that.
On May 24th we started the screening and evaluation process with Bossier Parish School Board to see if she qualified for in-home Pre-K instruction. She went back on May 26th for her hearing test. (this evaluation process will continue in the month of June)
On May 31st the court accepted the parents surrender of Emily for adoption. From that point we were on the move toward adoption. (continued in the month of June)
So the month of May was definitely positive for Emily and for us.
